Como contrapartida, entre la mayoría de los chilenos predomina la distancia y el escepticismo con las actuales prácticas políticas. Sin embargo, se abren también paso nuevas iniciativas de organizaciones y movimientos sociales de base que recrean los sentidos y los contenidos de la acción colectiva, haciendo emerger nuevos horizontes para la política. Horizontes, que se recrean en medio de iniciativas de movilización social, memorias y aprendizajes colectivos y, que por cierto, toman su tiempo en madurar y alcanzar visibilidad nacional.
