El viernes 18 de marzo, previo a la Semana Santa, regresa la Feria Jakaru Porã Haguã (Para que podamos comer bien), desde las 7:00 en la Plaza Infante Rivarola de Asunción, Paraguay. Como en otras ediciones, la feria contará con productos caseros directo de las chacras campesinas: hortalizas, frutas, legumbres, queso paraguay, huevos, harina de maíz y mucho más. Esta iniciativa invitar a conocer los productos agroecológicos y a promover la Agricultura Familiar Campesina. ¡El trabajo de estas familias hace posible que podamos alimentarnos mejor!

¿QUÉ PODÉS ENCONTRAR EN LA FERIA?
Desde las 7:00 hasta las 14:00 horas, estarán a la venta gran variedad de hortalizas, hierbas, frutas, granos y harinas, almidón, y otros productos frescos de granja como carnes, quesos, conservas, huevos caseros, producidos de forma agroecológica.
Además no faltará la comida típica tradicional de esta temporada como chipas, sopa paraguaya, sopa so’o, y otros platos deliciosos preparados por los productores/as de comunidades campesinas provenientes de diferentes partes del país.
¿QUÉ SON LAS FERIAS AGROECOLÓGICAS?
Las Ferias Jakaru Porã Haguã son, fundamentalmente, un espacio de intercambio entre productores/as y consumidores/as que optan por los alimentos producidos de forma agroecológica, en pequeña escala y con una gestión sostenible de los recursos naturales, manteniendo la biodiversidad y conservando el conocimiento tradicional del campo.
Las organizaciones campesinas de productoras/es que trabajan de forma agroecológica y bajo el modelo de Agricultura Familiar son protagonistas de las Ferias. Además, participan asociaciones ecogastronómicas enfocadas a la defensa de soberanía alimentaria y el rescate de la cultura culinaria tradicional, instituciones que investigan y promueven el derecho a la alimentación, e iniciativas comerciales del sector de alimentos que funcionan bajo los criterios del Comercio Justo (fairtrade). Las ferias se realizan desde 2012.
